Why did we launch

At Altum, we want the Catholic investor to be free to choose investment vehicles that do not conflict with the Catholic Magisterium.
Additionally, we want to respond to the desire of many Christians to be able to bear witness to their faith with determination and confidence in all areas
– including investment
What is Altum Certified's purpose?
For investors who wish to invest in a manner consistent with the Social Catholic Teaching, it allows them to know to what extent the assets in which the fund invests do not conflict with the Catholic Magisterium by applying the Altum Investment Guidelines.
For fund managers, it permits that a third-party of reference in the analysis of companies from the Magisterium, evaluates in a comparable, coherent and reliable way to which extent the assets in which their vehicle invests, promotes the common good respecting the Catholic Social Teaching.
What does it mean to be “Altum Certified”?
Altum Certified goes beyond the current ESG approach.
The Catholic Social Teaching is our main source and therefore it is focused on always preserving the dignity and integral development of the person.
To achieve the certification, each single company in the investment fund is analyzed to verify whether it enters in conflict with any of the four pillars of the Altum Investment Guidelines.
Once the components have been analyzed, and taking into account their weight within the portfolio, the fund is awarded one of the following four certifications.
